Pegs can be used for a variety of activities. In math, pegs can be used for counting, basic calculations, colour sorting, grouping, and patterning. One can also use pegs to make creative pictures. Tip: If you do not have a pegboard, you can press the pegs into play dough (AC-DT-022) to prevent them from rolling around. You can use the pegs as a top-up set for Pegboard Sets (MM-SC-009; MM-SM-4031; MM-SC-069-PS) or use them with the Pegboard Stencil (MM-SC-040). Playing with pegs develops hand-eye coordination, colour recognition, numeracy, fine motor skills, spatial awareness, concentration, creative and logical thinking, as well as visual perception.
