The 500 round counters can be used to teach early mathematics like counting, quantity, sorting, patterns, and basic calculations. You can give children an x-amount of counters and ask them how many groups they can make, e.g. 12 counters can be grouped as 1 group of 12, 2 groups of 6, 6 groups of 2, 3 groups of 4, and 4 groups of 3. The counters can also be used in creative activities, e.g. using the counter to make a flower-picture, a face, or any other picture. Picking up a counter practices hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Counters can be sorted according to colour (also using the SAToyTrade products sorting circles and sorting plates). Also use the counters to create, copy, and extend patterns. The counters can also be used for basic calculations like adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying.
