The baseboard is a sturdy plastic board divided into 25 squares (5 rows by 5 columns). Any 2cm metric cubes (e.g. linking cubes) can fit into the squares. Children can create pictures by placing different coloured cubes onto the board. The baseboard can also be used as a concrete coordination system and for graphs. Use the baseboard for basic calculations, e.g. place 2 red cubes and 1 green cube next to each other on the board to show 2+1=3.
