These geometric-shaped containers can be used to teach children about volume. First, ask the children whether or not they think the containers have the same volume. The likely answer you’ll get is: "No, because the containers have different shapes." Let the children throw liquid, sand, etc. from one shape to the next to realise all the shapes hold the same amount (1L) and therefore have the same volume. Lastly, the children can measure the containers and calculate the volumes to prove in written math that the containers have the same volume.
