The plastic handles are easy to grip for little hands and help to keep the hands clean. The foam absorbs the paint and reduces spillage. Children can use the rollers to paint surfaces like paper, canvas, large wooden objects, etc. They can also use the foam rollers for water play. When children paint with rollers, they usually use large arm movements and therefore develop gross motor skills. Wash the foam rollers after each use so they can be used again. Paint is messy; remember to cover work areas and clothes. The paint is sold separately.
