This paint set contains some of the most used oil paint colours and is perfect for beginner artists as well as seasoned artists. Even though oil paint can’t be diluted with water (oil and water don’t mix), you can mix oil paint with other mediums (e.g., linseed oil and turpentine) for interesting effects. You can use various painting techniques with oil paint, e.g., wet-on-wet, layered or texture painting, and glazing. Oil paint can be used on canvas, paper, cardboard, and wood. Colour mixing is easier with oil paint than with acrylic paint because the oil paint takes longer to dry.
