This Deli pencil sharpener has 2 holes and can be used to sharpen pencils from 7 to 12 mm diameter. The sharp blade cuts smoothly through the wood without damaging the pencil. All of the pencil residue falls into a container for mess-free sharpening. The container is transparent, so you can see when it is full. Sharpening pencils is a good activity for children to develop fine motor skills, hand and finger muscles, bilateral coordination, as well as hand-eye coordination, all of which are necessary for writing.</o:p>
