Day and night clocks are handy tools to teach children how to read time as well as showing them there are about 12 hours day and 12 hours night. There is a window on the clock's face that moves between pictures of the sun and the moon to symbolise day and night. To help children grasp the connection between hours and minutes, these clocks show both the hour and the minute, e.g. at the 1-hour position there is also a small number 5 to represent the minutes. The clock has gears to ensure the minute hand and the hour hand move in sync to help children to better understand how clocks work and to prevent confusion. This day and night clock is large and can be used for group teaching.
