Snap is an all-time favourite card game. Sound Snap is a version of Snap where you need to get cards that rhyme instead of cards that are exactly the same. For example, if a picture of a pen is followed by a picture of a hen, then “SNAP, pen rhymes with hen”. Sound Snap makes children think beyond what they see and listen to what they hear. A pen and a hen have nothing in common visually, yet get snapped because they are auditory the same. Playing Sound Snap improves listening and reading skills, auditory memory, auditory discrimination, vocabulary and word building.
