The buttons in this set are different sizes, with different amounts of holes per size. The smallest buttons have only 1 hole each whereas the biggest has 5 holes each. This enhances children’s understanding of numbers and values. For example, by comparing the buttons' sizes a child can see the button with 5 holes is bigger than the button with 3 holes, thus 5>3. The buttons can be used for treading, counting, size comparison, number and quantity, sorting, patterning as well as basic math calculations. Children can also use the buttons to create objects like necklaces and pictures. Playing with the buttons develops children’s fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, bilateral integration, concentration as well as logical and creative thinking.
