A tangram is a Chinese puzzle that is created by dividing a square into 7 geometric shapes. The 7 shapes can then be used to create many creative pictures and patterns. One can also use the shapes to make other geometric shapes, e.g. use 1 square and 2 triangles to make a trapezium. By playing with the pieces children learn about different geometric shapes and their properties. They can also measure and compare the shapes’ areas, angles and perimeters or sort the shapes into different categories, e.g. triangles and quadrilaterals. This tangram set is made of soft rubber that is durable and soundproof.
