This balance scale includes 2x500ml buckets with lids on them as well as numbered bear counters that can be used as weights. The lids on the buckets serve as a platform where the bears or other objects can be placed. The balance scale has an adjustment knob to ensure precision when weighing objects. Balance scales are effective tools to learn and explore numbers, volume, weight and balance while developing observation skills and logical thinking. Use the balance to compare different objects as well as the same objects in different sizes or amounts. The balance scale can also be used to do basic math calculations with weights. Scales can be used to teach math vocabulary like "less than", "more than" and "equal to". Before you use the balance scale, make sure the scale pointer is pointing to 0.
